WEDDING PLANNERS IN CUBA

Cuba Wedding

1-Find a venue in Cuba. There are a variety of churches that will allow a civil ceremony --the only sort of wedding recognized in Cuba--to be performed. There are also a multitude of hotels in Cuba where you can hold a wedding ceremony.

2-Choose a date. In Cuba, civil weddings can only be performed on weekdays. Civil weddings are the only types of wedding recognized in Cuba.

3-Send out the invitation early. Not only is an early invitation more polite, it also gives time for your guests to make travel arrangements and prepare to attend your wedding.

4-Prepare the documents. Every foreign couple who is planning to get married in Cuba must prepare the proper documents by having these documents translated into Spanish. These documents (birth certificate, proof of present marital status, divorce certificate if applicable, and if a widower or widow, marriage certificate and death certificate of spouse) must also be authenticated by the Cuban Consulate before a marriage license can be issued and before the ceremony can take place.

5-Arrive early. Arrive in Cuba at least a few days before the wedding is scheduled. This will give you time to get your marriage documents in order. It also permits you to survey the venue and make any last-minute changes.

6-Cuban-born people who are not Cuban residents have to apply for a visa from the Cuban Embassy to be able to travel to Cuba. American citizens and citizens of some European countries may travel to Cuba for a visit, but a passport and a tourist card, which is issued when your airplane ticket to Cuba is purchased, is required. If you are not Cuban-born but are a U.S. citizen, Cuba does allow you to visit as a tourist, but because the U.S. has a partial embargo of trade with Cuba, which is enforced is enforced by the Office of Foreign Assets Control U.S. citizens and residents have to submit an application for travel to Cuba with OFAC (www.treas.gov/ofac). Once approved, travel has to be completed on an OFAC approved airline and travel must originate from Miami, New York or Los Angeles.

CUBA DESTINATION WEDDINGS

Cuba is one of  last shining diamonds in the worlds treasury, colourful, nice, ancient, rich-for-images country. Simply walking there, hanging around with the camera brings lots of cool shots  from retro cars to retro locals  , grandmas with huge cigars, mucacos and mucacas, half-ruined palaces, etc.
Cuba is an amazing country full of untouched snow white beaches, beautiful and positive people, vivid landscapes, and surreal midcentury architecture. It becomes more and more popular to organize your dream destination wedding in Cuba. The possibilities for creating unique wedding images are awesome. I have tonz of ideas for funky and creative wedding photographs, that I would love to realize with couples that are excited by the idea of getting married (or their romantic sessions shot) in a different place.
These couples I am looking for would be doing their best to … er, “work” and create together  with me these special images and memories that will last forever.
Here are just some ways to shoot there:
1-Romantic candid or portrait session along the beach at sunset or sunrise.
2-Rent a retro car;  huge amount of styles and colours available, some models  came even  from 1920s
3-Hire a classic carriage ride around the Old Havana, incredibly romantic and interesting.
4-Images on the the steps of the Capitoli, Havana’s capitol building; simply elegant. Many palaces around, cafeterias, restaurants, hotels in colonial style – all that amaze.
5-We also can make beautiful images at the Hotel National, one of Cuba’s oldest and most famous hotels, with fantastic ocean views of a Havana’s inner harbor.
6-Candid shots along the Malecon, Havana’s infamous 8 km embankment along the curved downtown bay, gorgeous location for a romantic walk to watch the sunset.
Photos in the courtyard of a restored museum, full of lush tropical plants, beautiful columns and classic stairwells.
Only a few ways for shooting are shown. Cuba has great  possibilities for a photography not only Havana and Varadero. Useful would be even to buy a tourist guide to Cuba and browse thru to see where one can go and places to have romantic, gothic or classic photography sessions.
Going to Cuba is like taking a trip around the world in perfect weather. You can clamber over the ruins of French coffee plantations. Tour Spanish colonial cities dating back to the 16th century. Luxuriate in European-style spas.
Swing to Afro-Cuban and Latin rhythms. Hike through spectacular mountains and forests. Dive on one of the world’s great reefs. And fish where Hemingway did.
